Re-sole boots in Hobart

Postby Thornbill » Mon 24 Feb, 2025 10:40 am

Can anyone recommend a good place to get leather walking boots re-soled locally in Hobart?

I’ve got a pair of Asolo’s of which the soles completely fell apart over a couple of days the weekend just gone. It’s like the glue just suddenly gave up. The leather upper is still in good nick so I’d rather not toss them if a re-sole is possible.

One of my mates had to send his Scarpa's to Melbourne to get them resoled, not sure if there are any places in Hobart that do it. There are a couple of cobblers but I believe he asked around and found none who could take on the job. Tapping in cobbler into google maps should get them up.

Try Super Cobbler in Moonah.

I've had 2 pairs of boots resoled by him and was happy with the result. One pair of Scarpas and one pair of old leather Merrells.

He will tell you if he can do the job or not and doesn't dick you around.

Thanks folks. I’ll give Super Cobbler a go.

Cheers
