Photo location: Lees Paddocks? Mt Ironstone?

I'd like to find out where these two photos were taken. Both in the 1980s or 1990s, northern Tasmania.
I've left this a bit late, but the narration for this section of the AV is being recorded tomorrow night (Wednesday 30 Apr). It reads: "He might take them to the high country above Lees Paddocks…"

1. I guessed Lees Paddocks. One friend agreed, two others didn't. One suggested Howells Plains, but that was flooded in the 1960s.

2. My guess is the Mt Ironstone area.

The first one ... maybe looking down on Lees Paddocks from the Pillinger track? That was my first thought, anyway.
Second one looks more like Parmeener/WesternBluff area.

Of course, I'm *&%$#! at this sort of thing, so probably a very long way out.

For comparison, here's a photo taken from Pillinger a few months ago...

I reckon NNW may be right. The angle is different so it could be from somewhat below the summit of Pillinger, as she suggested. The difference in cloud heights makes it difficult to compare the more distant peaks on the horizon.

Not quite as *&^%$#@! at this sort of thing as she thinks.

Thanks for the input for Photo #1. Turned out it's not Lee's Paddocks or Howells Plains, it's Echo Valley from Mt Van Dyke. Took me a couple of hours on Google Earth to work it out, by "flying" north along the Mersey River at 1000m, while looking south.
Attached is the kmz file which show the view in Google Earth.

But I still have no clue as to where Photo #2 was taken. If you have a "it could pass for" suggestion, I'm all ears.

I think photo 2 may be Black Bluff from Brookes Track just below Paddys Lake. I have attached a photo from the same area.

I did think the same thing when I first saw the photo; now I don't think it is quite right..

Maybe it is the back of Cradle Mountain, possibly Lindon Tarns

I don't think the rock or the vegetation is quite right for that.
