COMPETITION: Guess Date of 20,000th Post

It's time for our next competition, which will run along similar lines to the last one. This time you need to guess the date that our 20,000th post will be submitted to the forums.

The prize for this competition will be from Macpac (thanks to blacksheep).

To enter simply send an email to: post20000@tasmania.bushwalk.com including:
  • your forums name
  • the date that you think the 20,000th post will be sumitted to the forums

Please do not include any other information in the email message (simpler email messages will be easier to sort through when determining the winner). So the body of the email you send should look similar to this (except with your own forums name and your own guess):

The current number of posts is well over 19,000, and I expect that we'll reach 20,000 some time between 14 and 140 days, but I may be wrong (that's merely a stab in the dark based on no calculations or formulas).

Note that this competition will remain open until the 20,000th post is submitted. During that time, the total post count has been removed from the statistics section on the index page. Anyone who is found (or suspected) to be attempting to determine the current post count by illegitimate means or by means against the spirit of the competition will be disqualified.

Only one entry per person is permitted. Any subsequent entries will be ignored (only the first entry per person will be accepted).

From a more 'wet blanket' side, I really think that the prize (what it is) for these things needs to be 'declared' while the comp is open? (no i didn't have a guess..)

Nuts... I know what you mean, and I apologise for this. This competition was a real last minute thing, suggested by a forum member, and we had a very short time to get the competition up and running before the 20,000th post came in. The whole thing was a bit rushed this time around.

So ILUVSWTAS - What did you end up getting? Any more details?

Thankfully they dont have layby either or I'd be spending SO MUCH MORE in there!!
