OK, I will put this old 1960's Kodak Instamatic Agfa CT18 colour slide up to keep the game active. 8) NSW again.

That's correct isoma. Your turn.

One for the Queenslanders then (though I think this will be snaffled up by one of the usual suspects  )

To make it a bit more interesting please tell me the name of the spot I am standing and the name of the smaller peak .

On second thoughts, having dug out my 1971 Springbrook Map, you are at the "Best of All Lookout" further to the west, as Bilbrough is the Springbrook high point in the photo.

Well, this "diversion" into the Aussie game has become an excuse to dig out my old slide boxes and scan a few interesting photos that I might not have looked at for a long time. This photo is of from one of my favourite QLD day walks that I did many times, introducing a lot of friends (and a few girlfriends ;-)) to bushwalking.

This is not Ships Stern in Numinbah Valley, but this location is in the same region.

I feel like I should know this one tas-man, but you've thrown me a bit by suggesting it might be near Shipstern. Eggrock would have been my thought in that case but the valley doesnt look right. My initial thought was that you were looking northish from the western side of Lamington. An obvious razorback back ridge in that area is, funnily enough, the descent from Mt Razorback and the Lost World. That valley has a bit of an Albert River feel about it ?

Sorry for the red herring  - I had intended to give a clue that this place was in the general area (region) of Lamington National Park to narrow down its location in Qld. You are so very close to the answer and have in fact mentioned its name, so I will give it to you. The valley on the left is the Albert River Right Branch, and the people in the photo are right at the northern end of the top of Lost World, and not on the razorback that is on the ridge leading up to Lost World. I have enjoyed many pancake lunches on the creek above the falls, just inside the rainforest. The variety of terrain on this short walk is a delight, and the challenge of the razorback and the steep grassy slope ascent to the top, gives people a great sense of achievement and satisfaction.

Your turn to post again :D

Thanks tas-man. I thought you might have meant that it was in the Lamington region rather than the Numinbah valley specifically.

Next one then. Another easy one from Qld. What is the name of the feature I am looking at and what is the name of the peak in view ?

I think this is Balancing Rock and is the feature behind The Pyramid?

I'm standing on the Pyramid G51. But you're right in that the feature is (imaginatively) called Balancing Rock. The peak in view is actually the Second Pyramid and is more technically demanding to climb.
Over to you.

I should have said that this is in Girraween NP as well ( which adjoins the smaller Bald Rock NP in NSW)

Thanks Isoma. I must admit I guessed the name of the rock and then did a little bit of research. It looks an interesting area and one I might visit next time I'm up that way.

My next picture is from Western Australia. It's fairly clear what it is/was. Please name the nearby coastal feature name and/or the closest town.

That's right, of course, John. This is a very interesting feature. Originally it was made to power a pump to pump the same water across to the lighthouse while it was under construction. Since then the dissolved minerals in the water have calcified the whole structure.

Thanks Graham. I think I may have visited this feature, but it was 35 years ago so memory is a bit hazy . I know we went to Cape Leeuwin and the lighthouse. I think you've now sent me on a mission to dig up the old photos from that trip, although I don't think I have a lot of them. I always enjoy looking at historical features, particularly discovering them on bushwalks or planning walks with the expectation of finding them.

What is the name of this feature in NSW? Bonus point if you can name my location.

Spot on Michael, The Pinnacles from Flat Top it is. Lockleys Pylon track can be seen snaking up towards the Pinnacles. It's worth climbing them from the track for some different views around the area. Mt Hay Rd in the foreground. Your turn.

Thanks John. I have to admit that mobile tower on Mt Tomah in the background was a dead give away again.

I haven't done it myself but a friend has traversed the Pinnacles and said it was worth it for the views.

Back soon.
