Part of ACT water supply, so I assumed within their border. Should have checked the map .

It does only leave Cotter. Taken from Hardy's range near Peirce's Creek falls.

Staying in the ACT. Might be hard but a couple of clues are in the photo.
The small lake has lots of bird life but is unnamed, just name the reserve:

Mulanggari Grasslands Reserve, Gungahlin ACT

You are actually both really close. Chev is literally across the road, so I will give it to him.
The is Mulanggari Grasslands Reserve, next to Gungaderra.
We were staying in the Canberra CBD, so I took a trip to Gungahlin on the light rail to have a walk there.
