Overlooking Bendora Reservoir?
Wed 27 Nov, 2024 7:47 pm
Not bendora either. Not too many other bodies of water like this in the ACT

Process of elimination, Googong?

Part of ACT water supply, so I assumed within their border. Should have checked the map

.
But that only leaves Cotter...

It does only leave Cotter. Taken from Hardy's range near Peirce's Creek falls.

I didn't think you were that far from the impoundment.
Staying in the ACT. Might be hard but a couple of clues are in the photo.
The small lake has lots of bird life but is unnamed, just name the reserve:

- Mulanggari Grasslands Reserve, Gungahlin ACT

Mulligans flat?

Does that radio mast put you in Gungaderra grasslands?

You are actually both really close. Chev is literally across the road, so I will give it to him.
The is Mulanggari Grasslands Reserve, next to Gungaderra.
We were staying in the Canberra CBD, so I took a trip to Gungahlin on the light rail to have a walk there.
Over to Chev.

Thanks John. Staying in the ACT, this is a similar view of Black Mountain but from a different reserve.

Not Aranda, but the reserve I'm in does take its name from an inner suburb.

Bruce Ridge?
Sat 30 Nov, 2024 2:29 pm
It's O'Connor Ridge, but contiguous with Bruce so I'll take that. Over to you again John.

Thanks Chev, I tossed up between both of those and went with Bruce.
I'll milk my ACT photos a bit further:

- On the way to Gibraltar Peak, Tidbinbilla NR via Paddys River ACT

This creek junction is like a title fight between two 80s world champion heavyweight boxers.. one fictitious and one notorious (and the latter still going).

Different view from my recollection, but it's been a while.
Junction of Rocky Waterholes and Iron Creeks?
Rationale: "Rocky" Balboa and "Iron" Mike Tyson.
