This is one of those "it looks familiar but can't make it fit anything" ones.

Is that Picton at the back near the right hand side?
Fri 02 Aug, 2019 6:51 pm
not Picton. North of there. I think you posted a pic from near here recently Tortoise.
Fri 02 Aug, 2019 7:15 pm
Glad I'm not the only one who first thought that was Picton on the right. If you zoom in, it's obviously not, but the standard view looks a lot like it.
The ridge leading to Pelion West from Achilles?
Fri 02 Aug, 2019 10:07 pm
No, but a lot closer.
Sun 04 Aug, 2019 7:32 pm
I'm on the way Back to a Knob
Sun 04 Aug, 2019 7:59 pm
Recondite Knob?
PS - on the track maybe just south-east of Back Peak. NNW gave a big hint by recognising Murchison at back.
Sun 04 Aug, 2019 9:54 pm
Yes Eggs, near Back Peak on the way to Recondite Knob. Murchison in the background.

I'm sure the distant peaks should be easy.
I was on a day walk.

On the way to Hartz Peak?
Mon 05 Aug, 2019 9:24 pm
West from Hartz

Thanks eggs. I'd taken a shot with a more or less reverse view from Snowy/Hartz saddle, worked it out from that.
Next:

Reminds me of Cullen but I can't be bothered getting out my own shots to check.

You won't need to, it's a long way from Mt Cullen.

Mt Donaldson?

That rock must be West coast, lots of new growth... Mt Lyell perhaps?

Hounslow heath Brewery Knob area?
Wed 07 Aug, 2019 11:53 am
No. Hounslow only has a walking track, doesn't it?
Wed 07 Aug, 2019 12:04 pm
Reminds me of the old Raglan Range bulldozer route. And it looks like the Frenchman peaking above the clouds.
Wed 07 Aug, 2019 1:12 pm
Nice pun. Yep, Raglan, just south of the trig.

I don't have a lot of photos suitable for this game. I need to get out more!
Here's another oldie...

I see what you did there. Another shot of Mt Mary perhaps?
From the ridge up to Flat Bluff - but avoiding Mary Creek Plain..... leeches!
Thu 08 Aug, 2019 10:21 am
Yes, spot on of course. Mt Mary it is, from the ascent to Flat Bluff along the ridge line rather than across the (pictured) plains. This was near our camp site along that ridge wher it took a lot of working the yabbie holes to get enough water to drink and cook with.
All yours, Eggs.
