Yes, it was. We had four glorious days, although the last one blew out to 11 hours with a lot of scrub which wasn't ideal.

"Out the back of Frenchies" isn't entirely wrong, depending on your interpretation of "back", but Maud Creek hasn't entered the scene yet.

That's more like it. The pad up to the lookout continues along the ridge about a km or so. Interesting country, and possible to join it up to Pine Knob. Now that would be a brilliant alternative return route after going down to the Irenabyss from South Col...

Delightful spot! Very easy once you're at Hanging Lake... :D
