Keep heading northwards. It's an Abel, but not in a National Park.

But Marriotts is fun - the bauera on the descent from the towers, finding your way to and across the moorland, the bauera on the climb back up to the towers, hoping the MTB staff don't catch you and charge you with trespass ....

A little less fun when the scrub is wet and you end up saturated...

I also just paid the $12.50 to get a ride up as I'd been to Abbott's before, back in the pre-bike park days.

That was the best part of the day, apart from realising that I'd lost my Abels book somewhere in amongst all that wet scrub and fallen timber.
At least the summit is open and easy.

Well that sounds like something for the bucket list

. I've been to Marriotts Falls nearby but not lookout, put 2 and 2 together sifting through the Abels, LISTmap and google.

I'm quite some way off track here, but this locale is relatively well visited.

Feels kinda like the Labryinth. I cant pick the lake though..

First up reminded me of the Lake Myrtle area - but brain ache trying to get anything to fit - even after I surmised the lake at back goes all the way past the white hill.
But a fresh look and it suggests that he is on the slopes leading to Rogoona maybe a km east on the northern edge looking down to Lake Myrtle.

Correct eggs, we became geographically embarrassed leaving Lake Meston at the wrong spot, then seat of the pants nav through some wild weather to Lake Myrtle. A few interesting views on the way.
