Yes, looking across to the Overlord Glacier from the Decker Loop trail on Blackcomb Mountain.
Overlord Mountain to the right obscured under cloud at that moment.

Thanks John, there were some very generous clues there.
What peak (centre) are we heading towards in Europe?

Matterhorn?
Thu 16 Apr, 2020 8:04 pm
Not the Matterhorn sorry John, a quite a way away from there.

Triglav?

Not Triglav, but getting closer.

Okay, time for a clue. This peak was previously regarded as the highest in the country it sits in, but has since been knocked a couple of places down the list as other mountains were mapped with better accuracy. It is also quite a popular walk (if you zoom in, there are quite a number of people heading up the face in front of us).

Maybe Bobotov Kuk. Wherever it is it looks amazing and somewhat hairy.

Spot on Wobbly, we're looking up at Bobotov Kuk. If you zoom in you can see people on the summit, along the track heading up and in the saddle on the right for scale.
I think this photo makes it look worse than it is - the walk up was steep and scree-y but not too bad. Beaut view from up top.
Over to you.

Thanks JM. One man's "not too bad" is another's gibbering wreck.
Fortunately you can drive to this next one. A lighthouse on a cliff somewhere in Europe. But where?

Lighthouse on high steep cliffs near Vik, South Iceland
Sun 19 Apr, 2020 2:43 pm
It is at one of the continents extremities but not Iceland.
Sun 19 Apr, 2020 5:16 pm
Nordkapp?
Sun 19 Apr, 2020 8:58 pm
No not Nordkapp. This one is a decidedly warmer extremity.

Cabo da Roca, Portugal?
Mon 20 Apr, 2020 12:48 pm
Right country but wrong cape. This one is at the start/finish of an "E" route
Mon 20 Apr, 2020 1:40 pm
Cape St Vincent?
From Cape Sagres?
Mon 20 Apr, 2020 2:07 pm
Correct on both counts Eggs. Apparently its the most south westerly point of Europe.
Over to you.

Has a bit of a Nullarbour feel to it - with that dead flat plain ending in cliffs
Next - name the refuge/location in view in France [click on for bigger view]

Lac Blanc? Taken with a fair bit of zoom if it is?

Some ping pong - probably a little south and a bit higher up than Lac Blanc.

Yeah I wasn't being overly imaginative. Not sure I was much higher than the lake though.... taken from the track between the lake and L'Index (?from memory?).

A very different view though.
Lets go to a track in Ireland
