I suspect you are on the Bright Angel Trail - looking down to Indian Garden

Phantom Ranch on the Colorado River?

Yes I climbed it, as did some 12-year-olds in the party. The scrambling difficulty is similar to climbing Mt Solitary from the Ruined Castle side, but it's more sustained and there's a little more exposure in a couple of places.
There have been a few fatal falls over the past decade, and walkers sometimes lose their nerve and phone for rescue from half way up.

I read that there had been fatalities and assumed it must be difficult/very exposed.
I've gone up and down the Korowal Knife Edge many times so possibly within my comfort level.

Yes it is Indian Garden eggs. I walked through there on a day hike the following day down Bright Angel to Plateau Point, but actually took this from the top of the south rim using a really long zoom setting.

Broadway Tower in the Cotswolds. I think we may have been there but it's so long ago, my memory is struggling.

Shares something in common with H20. I'll accept either the name of the larger body of water or (preferably) this specific location within it.

I've been thinking it looks like a wee bit like Crummock water.

Not Crummock Water, I'm east of there. A really long time since I was here but this scene seems to be photographed fairly often.
The name of this small bay/location, the dominant fell centre background, or the larger water body are all acceptable answers.
Bonus points for all three, or two out of three.

Perhaps looking at Helvellyn from the terminal near Aira Force

Ullswater will do. This is Sandwick Bay and Beda Head. Not sure where I was other than on the opposite shore.

So, just wondering, had you walked all day to get thete, did you have your telescopic rod and miniature reel in you pack, did you check for surveillance cameras did you ..... no, no, of course not. Would have been tempting though, especially the Dolly Varden Char whatever they might be. As for the location, I dunno.

While I do enjoy eating fish, catching them has never been my forte. No need for any clandestine angling though. Apparently the Dolly Varden is a type of trout though Rainbow seem to be more commonly caught around here. The walk to this spot only took me I guess around 30-40 minutes on very easy trails from our digs near the village. Even my wife walked it so it must have been easy. I did come back solo another day on a more extensive hike circumnavigating the lake and then becoming geographically embarrassed on more remote trails, in the pouring rain. Mmm, something has gone missing here.

It is in BC but not Lake Alouette. You need to drive back to Vancouver then head north, but not too far.
Though very popular this lake is much, much smaller even within its own surrounds. And its name suggests that it's a bit hard to find.
