For once, I wasn't being cryptic. It is, literally, named after a bushwalker, skier and decent bloke (except for the little matter of his employment). But that's just the peak in view. The place I am ... not sure where the name comes from. It certainly isn't a good old Anglo name. Although the thing of which it is part - that's Anglo alright.

Barn Bluff and Emmett are obvious. If the lump on the left is Oakleigh I think you'd most likely be somewhere on the Clumner plateau - which the intervening ground ceretainly looks like - but it's a substantial area and almost every bump on the western and northern rims has a cairn. That one is very neat and precise, isn't it? You'd think I'd be able to remember it. You wouldn't be on the lump the list calls Clumner Nth (which is the 1428m high point before the scrub bash out to Deception Pt), would you?
