Sat 17 Apr, 2010 6:18 pm
I have busted my monthly data limit so the speed is way down.
Anyone else can post the next one.
And thanks to aljscott for the hint re Frenchman's Cap.

Love the shot.
I know it can be a distraction waiting around for someone to answer.
But give them time - they're probably still coming back from walking.

Cheers eggs,
Have been in and out all weekend but will leave it until someone gives it a shot. It's certainly not a hard one.
It has been great weather in the South for walking, pity about all the smoke though - Hobart is under a major haze now.
Here's a clue - it's South of Launceston

Still pretty slow today.
I must admit that although I have been 3 times on Hartz Peak, I still find it takes a while to figure it out when I am looking at it.
This is a great angle on it though. But the first peak I recognised was Mt Picton...

Are you going to put me out of my misery eggs?
Mon 19 Apr, 2010 6:16 pm
I will try - are you on Adamson's Peak?

Now now, the cairn on Adamson's is a touch more impressive than that little baby!
Mon 19 Apr, 2010 6:25 pm
Haven't been there to see yet.
So are you on the Calf?
Mon 19 Apr, 2010 6:30 pm
That's the little baby, your turn.
Mon 19 Apr, 2010 6:32 pm
This one should be quite easy - but it is a "where's Wally?" - and that refers to a person - not cars.
Mon 19 Apr, 2010 10:05 pm
That pervious one was hard, well done on getting that one eggs. It seems like you are on Marions Lookout (maybe just a bit further up the track???)

I had to download and darken the picture to make out the peaks at the back.
Definitely the Eldon Range in the far distance. Which would make the closer range in the middle the King Williams (instead of my initial thinking of Mt Bobs)...

Looks like rock I have seen in The Denisons, but doesn't look familiar enough to think it is Denisons.....

How did you do that?

Oh...
Tue 20 Apr, 2010 4:48 pm
You will be correct stepbystep.
Google satellite confirms the striated break out of rock at the end of the range - and I believe the range just coming into view over the end is the Battlement Hills
tasadam - bit of a long bow - it was too much ABC via iView at home.
The quick picture analysis was done at work.
Tue 20 Apr, 2010 6:51 pm
you will have to be specific about the location on this one.
Tue 20 Apr, 2010 8:48 pm
Yeah ok. it's off Bonds Craig?
The aspect ratio threw me, I was away from my pics and my pics have a raging bushfire in the Battlement Hills to draw attention away from the foreground.
Tue 20 Apr, 2010 8:54 pm
Assuming it's correct - here's another, a nice easy one.
Feel free to post another if u r confident.....

yep you were right
Tue 20 Apr, 2010 9:09 pm
I've never been to the top of this mountain but is it Mt Dove??
Tue 20 Apr, 2010 9:52 pm
Bap - you will be right with Mt Dove, tallest of the Hazards in Freycinet.
Checked my shots from Mt Amos - and the trig point plus the angle places it on Dove
You should post the next one
Wed 21 Apr, 2010 7:46 am
Dove it is Bap - a surprisingly tricky climb, but well worth it to get away from the hordes on Amos.
Wed 21 Apr, 2010 8:52 am
It looks like a good mountain to climb, I will have to do it some time.
Heres the next one

Wed 21 Apr, 2010 10:18 am

Wed 21 Apr, 2010 10:52 am
