The name of this track is actually botanical. But I'm not sure exactly which bit of track eggs is talking about, which is why a little clarification would be appreciated. He's close, if not necessarily 100% correct.

That fish got beached with some gentle persuasion in the form of a black spinner fly...

And my oh my yes. Lots of black wriggly things in this area, both small ones and large ones...

Hmm. Noboby appears to have actually named it yet. The profiles of KW1, Milligan and Pitt look pretty good for Lake Dixon, but I'm not sure about the actual angle. My memory of it is all the tea tree we hit after the 'fisherman's track' stops.

There are flats like that on the western side, although it can't be the easiest getting to them. But fishingpeoples can be a bit fanatical; not at all like us sane, sensible, rational peakbaggers ...

Well done tortoise, it is indeed Dixon. Taken from the eastern shore though as I'm not sure you'd get the angle to KW like this from the western banks, even if one made the effort. When the water level is low it is fairly easy to negotiate the shoreline between the inflow and outflow.

Maybe I'll take up fishing one day. And I'll keep that in mind if I ever go in that way again. Hmm. While I have visited Gell, we went in and out from the other end. And our Gell trip in this way was brought to an abrupt end by unforecast snow++, wind++ and ... a probable episode of plummeting blood pressure. And the next trip was only to Chimera. So MAYbe there's unfinished business there...
