Not Mt Giblin Brian.
I think Mark exited a lightly different point on the Sentinels on his return from the Coronets, but it looks very familiar.
Attached approx. location (out of view) of his exit point...

Yes - I have checked again - the look is certainly Sentinel Range (I must admit that I initially thought Giblin would look very different to this)
But I was thrown by thinking the far right peak was Picton. Much more likely to be Nevada/Snowy range.
And that would add up with being able to see Mt Field West on the other side - a bit less wide angle.

Yup Stu has it! The end of the Sentinals on our way back from the Coronets.

A fairly easy one next...

Yet another place I haven't been but it looks like PB to me?
Fri 30 Apr, 2010 3:08 pm
Spot on SBS, high on the descent off PB overlooking New River Lagoon.
Over to you...

Have to get down there in the next summer or two, looks amazing....
OK, not sure if this spot has been in the game before.........

The question was "What feature am I next to?"
And your response was "A tree? - sorry"
Fri 30 Apr, 2010 3:29 pm

I deserve that - a tree indeed, the cheek! Perhaps you should post the next one
Ralph falls is a very cool spot!

After 127 posts I am getting a little thin - I need to scan more slides
[but to get the quality up I need to project them onto my wall and take digital photos of them - I have not been too happy with the little scanner I have.]
I shouldn't have answered your question so quickly.
With about 690 entries we have passed the point where we are getting duplicates, so worrying about duplication is pointless. Most won't remember what all these entries were.
But here's an easy one:

On the Southern Edge of Lake Rodway?

Not sure I could have resisted either

Too easy Bap - a wonderful place is Lake Rodway
Stepbystep - yes it was a juicy one to pick on - and a bit of fun banter doesn't hurt

Great Photo eggs, I think I'm going to go there over the Winter for an overnighter one weekend.

I presume robl was thinking Frenchman's Cap area from the white rock up top.
Curiously, the track along Philps Lead had a section which I think had been affected by a landslip.
It was certainly not what you expected to find on the Frenchman's track - but I think that is where you are - looking up towards the Philps Peak range
This was shortly before the small bridge across Philps Creek

Eggs has it

This one is a very, very short walk

Napoleon may also have been here.

Hi eggs,
I'm assuming you are at Swansea - perhaps Waterloo Point?
Sat 01 May, 2010 12:57 pm
Yes - that was it.
A lovely evening after being on Amos earlier that day.
PS - for general interest - the island is Schouten Island sitting just south of Freycinet peninsula
Sat 01 May, 2010 1:05 pm
Would love to get onto Schouten one day...
Another easy one

Must be good walking weather down there.
I think this might be from Mt Montagu - looking across to Collins Bonnet and the peaks running south west from there.
Sun 02 May, 2010 5:16 pm
Not today eggs, yesterday was pretty good though.
Almost forgot I'd posted this - correct as usual - your go.
Sun 02 May, 2010 5:21 pm
Try this one then
There is something not-natural in this photo

Are you decending down to Lake Tahune, with the heilpad in view?
Sun 02 May, 2010 7:40 pm
Thought it might be a bit harder -but you have it.
The helipad is just a bit of ground that has been cleared - unlike most others I have seen which are wooden.
But the position of Tahune Hut on the edge of the big drop away with the falls cascading from the lake outlet is pretty special.
