Correct icefest, Tindsøya is the island, the peak is Tinden. I wanted to climb it.

Impressive!
First try too!

Yeah! Too easy, there was an article about a guy who did a world record of jump from that bridge, or something like that...
Anyone can have a go next. My pictures are too difficult to guess...

That's correct. Fascinating mixing of local clear mountain streams with the silt laden waters of the Dart as it flows into Lake Wakatipu.

That whole area is really nice. Still in nz...

kinda reminds me of lake mckenzie, but I don't think that's right.

That's really unexpected, I couldn't get the top of that lake to line up with my photos.

Would love to do it.

Are you walking up to Stony Bay peak, looking down at Akaroa?

We were on the ridge to Stony Bay Peak at sunset.
We were staying in a novel kind of backpackers very close by at the time.

It was very hippy style.
Our 2 girls were in a caravan which had no wheels and we were in an upper level where you had to duck to miss the rafters.
Wonderful setting though - a BBQ tea laid on at an outside picnic table with views down the valley to Otanerito Bay.

Could be Lake Howden?

Roughly the right area, but the wrong lake - I saw this lake on the same walk as my previous one.

Massive clue. I was trying to think about the low altitude of the surrounds.
Skirting Lake Sylvan
I think I would like to go over the Sugarloaf Pass on that route - weather being kind.
