This NP is named for its land and water system.

This major NP is not on the "outside". I've posted from around here before.

Yep, yours Sandy.

A fairly popular hiking area in the US.
Mon 14 Mar, 2022 3:03 pm
Hint: Peaks are in a wilderness area that borders two northwestern US states.
Tue 15 Mar, 2022 3:27 pm
Hint #2: Lucifer would be happy in this wilderness area.

Hint #3. In biblical tales a certain reptile offered an apple and a river of the same name is nearby.

Only possible with the clues. Seven Devils Mountains, Hells Canyon Wilderness.
Above the east bank of the Snake River, which forms the Idaho-Oregon border.

Yes, close enough. Was looking for He Devil - the name of the peak in the photo - but that is good enough.

Thanks, wasn't sure how detailed. Haven't been there so would've needed further research.
I'll make this one fairly easy, still on the North American continent:

- Overlooking the Hoodoos and Bow River towards Mt Rundle, Banff NP Alberta Canada

Gotta be Mount Rundle over the Bow River probably from Tunnel Mountain or the hoodoos track.

Correct. From memory I took it from either the Hoodoos Trail, or the trail that starts from Hoodoos Viewpoint. Back to you.

Apologies for a *&%$#! picture, it is scanned from slides.
In NZ. Should be easy, peak and valley names please.
Sat 19 Mar, 2022 9:17 am
No takers, and I have no idea. It does remind me a little of the Hooker Valley but I don't think so.
To get the ball rolling I'll start with the Matukituki Valley.

But, you are right with the one the first guess!

Well that was the equivalent of aiming at a dartboard blindfolded

.
Let's try another one from NZ then:

- Overlooking Lake Dispute from just off the Mt Crichton track near Queenstown, Otago New Zealand

There should be no argument about this one.
Tue 22 Mar, 2022 8:31 pm
There is a much bigger lake to the right.
Wed 23 Mar, 2022 5:29 pm
South island

One would think this is near the hand of steve's son.

I have no idea what that means. But there is disagreement about the name of this lake.
I could always drive my little 70's Leyland SUV to a different lake just up the road.

This has gone on long enough. 403 views, several clues and not a single guess, and it's even in NZ.
I'm wondering if this version of the game has finally run its course.
It's Lake Dispute near Queenstown. Anyone can go.

I knew roughly where you were John, but lacked time and inclination to hone in on it.
Life is rather busy at the moment.
Part of the reason I generally try for "fairly easy" ones so the turnover can occur without too much lag time.
Lets try this one from Europe
Fri 25 Mar, 2022 12:16 pm
Gotta be the Matterhorn.
Fri 25 Mar, 2022 4:43 pm
Yes, that enables a zero in on the area - but the tricky bit was where was I?
Fri 25 Mar, 2022 5:33 pm
I knew you would ask that. More research is needed on my part to answer.
Fri 25 Mar, 2022 5:38 pm
Give it a day - and then it will be yours..
