No.
This is across the valley from the Matterhorna and involves a number of lakes...

Times up - Ding.
The nod goes to sandym for Matterhorn.
The track I was on was the 5 lakes track to Sunnega, but we took a short cut and only passed 3 of them.
The lake in view was Grindjisee

This game started mainly with New Zealand - so back there we go.

Been years, nay decades, but could you be in Tongariro? Perhaps on the Tongariro crossing track?
Mon 28 Mar, 2022 4:20 pm
Not on the Tongariro crossing - but you have the right area.

Ruapehu Crater Lake (although I've only seen it with snow and ice everywhere).
Mon 28 Mar, 2022 6:40 pm
Correct Ribuck.
There was still a lot of snow & ice around - and a whiff of steam off the lake.

Tŵr Mawr lighthouse, Historic ruins Church of St. Dwynwen is my opening bet.

Very impressive, GregR. Saint Dwynwen is the Welsh saint of lovers, and these buildings are on Llanddwyn Island, where pilgrims seek love.
At low tide the island is connected to Anglesey by a sand spit. Its other name is Enid Blyton Island, because every corner of the island offers interest and adventure for children.

Thank you Ribuck.
This one's back in Asia. Name the mountain I'm stumbling towards.

Hmm - looking out over an airport - the big campsite is probably the luxury hotel my wife stayed in while we went up to Mueller Hut.
Red Tarns would be on the opposite side slopes, but I cannot see any tracks on the map on the tip of the Mt Cook Range, but that is where you appear to be?

I might try doing a Bradbury from eggs' good work. I'll propose Mt Wakefield, which appears to fit.
The nearest I went to climbing it was having a look from the Hooker Valley track, but I believe a handful do go up there, including some guided trips.

Yes, Mt Wakefield, a steep & slightly scrubby climb to get to the ridge, then excellent ridge track far from the crowds below.

Looks like a spectacular climb. OK a really easy one, staying in NZ:

- From Milford Sound looking up the Harrison River Valley towards Mt Pembroke
Te Rua-o-te-moko/Fiordland NP via Te Anau New Zealand

I didn't think this would need any clues. I'm on a boat in one of the most visited tourist locations in NZ.

TBH, in the interest of easiness I would have accepted Milford Sound.
For some reason I thought I was closer to to Bowen Falls, but that does look correct eggs.
We were probably near the underwater observatory.
