Haha um yes, of course I knew...

The clue in Andrews signature, then Egg's guess, then my wrong guess really gave it away..
Ok lets see what I can find....

OK, I'll bite.
Looks Eastern Arthur-ish - maybe looking to Thwaites Plateau from Four Peaks area???

Nice looking section of duck boarding running through the middle there.
It does look like the Spiro range behind too so I think SBS is onto something...
Fri 30 Jul, 2010 12:51 pm
Its certainly a high location...
Fri 30 Jul, 2010 1:02 pm
I initially thought High Moor then thought no, maybe it is EA's.
Must be taken from on or near Dorado Peak then.
Still certainly Spiro range behind.
edit: I hate this game sometimes, not guessing places that you've been to

I thought High Moor also but I can't place those duck boards.
Fri 30 Jul, 2010 1:54 pm
Stu - you are very good at this you know
This will not be from Dorado - but it will probably be from the first top on the way to Dorado - hence the sharp angle past Mt Columba to the Spiro Range
I had wondered about duck board but did not see it initially.
The big question is where are the tent platforms? I have not been to High Moor, but I suspect they are nestled in on the right hand side hidden by the rock outcrop.

A good team effort. It is indeed on the way to Dorado, The high point just before dropping down to the climb up to the peak. I still can see the boards...

Eggs yes the tent platforms are tucked in the right, as close to the minimal shelter this site offers.
Now, who got in first... ??? First to post a pic between SBS Stu and Eggs

Fri 30 Jul, 2010 4:27 pm
