GAME: Where am I?

Is that the little tarn near the fantastic looking camp site just before you get to Eves peak??

Never been to Eve's Peak, but you are closer than aljscott

No it's not on Eve's peak you twonk. Just along the Mt anne track before the shelf camp junction....

ok, can't really remember, thought it was closer to Anne past the track junction, really smoky that day, your go....

I thought this was probably from the Anne circuit near the Lonely Tarns/Sarah Jane plateau, but getting out one of my own photos I can almost line it up with a photo looking down over the basin south from Frances Bluff - so the thin ridgeline is in fact part of the line of Lightning Ridge up to Sarah Jane.
The tarn in view will be just before the drop down into Lake Judd.

Stop the grovelling, it is not appropriate - you have more pictures than me - so you can go next - but these photos help explain.

First picture shows the tell-tale ridgeline

And I am pretty sure the tarn in question is this one - a bit further south from where we explored.

Not your normal dramatic scenery - but a place which was very beautiful, moreso than I was expecting - but not the Long Tarns.
If you are peak bagging you will get here someday.

I have to admit - I would need a map just to tell you what this one is called, but Douglas is closer than Middle.
Knowing the peak on the right will help.

OK then, must be Lake Chambers with Forty Lakes Peak to it's east?

Chambers is further away - but 40 Lakes Peak is correct....

Hmm - I guess I did suggest knowing the peak would be good - but the name of the lake was not such a Dead End task?!

As for this pic - yes - been there, done that - with the little kids too.

Don't know what this track is called or why I went up it. It is from my first trip around Tassie.
Perhaps you can post something more interesting???

It is not so much a track as a small roadside tourist stop off on the West Coast - north from Queenstown. The park is the Henty Glacial monument - and this is "balancing rock" which is passed on the way the top of the moraine - from which you can look across to the West Coast Range.

PS - the lake I posted was Dead End Lake below 40 Lakes Peak - and I am not sure what just happened - so anyone can post the next one.

PPS - sorry stepbystep - I realise that my comment about having been there was out of order. I had been there - and I was alluding to the fact that it was a short walk by reference to the kids as a hint to others. I was not trying to suggest it was a poor choice.
