Yep! Devonport would have done. East Devonport would have been better. It's your turn Liamy77.

That was fun! There have been some posts which have driven me insane with the amount of zoom involved. Eggs looking at the King William Range from the Tyndalls is a classic. (I am also guilty having posted a picture of Cradle Mountain from near Rocky Cape!) When I didn't have a photo handy I thought I'd add a little twist to the game.

The stupid bit is I worked on the boat for a while.... (it was years ago though in my defence

)
Here we go.... this was about 3 years ago, my son was two here..... ( a hint )
Hope it's not too horrible - i dont have many photos with me... it is a proper(ie in a park & on maps) track btw

Back home now.... I figured that might be too hard as is... do you want another photo from "just down the track" before the snow hit?
[later edit:] still no bites and 15 views so here we go with the extra pic...

Near The Springs, Mt Wellington?
Wed 18 Aug, 2010 10:18 am
pretty close... right park, wrong spot - bit too far NE.... the switchback in the shot is one of a series of them... that should narrow it down a bit... sorry about the background scenery - blame the weather...

I think you are on the Cathedral Rock track, the marker is the one that leads you down to the rivers edge

Yup your go Pazzar - it's at the top of the zigzag section leading up to Cathedral Rock away from the river... had to turn back cause the boy cracked the *&^%$#@! when the snow got stuck in... couldn't see much by then anyway... both pics are on the same walk with maybe 20 mins between photos - gives an idea about the weather even close to civilisation! The next day was where I took the photo of the rock cabin in the snow posted on page 210...

I am surprised that I recognised that one. I have only been through there in a rush, as it was getting dark. I got disoriented in the snow and instead of walking to Collins Bonnet, I ended up going over Thark Ridge and down to the Montague Thumbs, not that I knew where I was at all
This one shouldn't be too hard

Not sure mr pazzar as I have no pics on me, but I think I can see Nevada Peak(mix it up with Wedge all the time) which would place you on the Lake Belcher/Belton track, Mt Field?
Wed 18 Aug, 2010 11:33 am
I dont think it is Nevada in the background. You were there on this trip if that makes it easier.

Is it the lake Skinner track?
Wed 18 Aug, 2010 3:24 pm
nope, not that far south. Dan shouldn't have to think too hard to get this one, we've only been on 3 or 4 walks together.

I stopped thinking when I realised where it was from, but I can't play the game if I was standing next to you.....
Wed 18 Aug, 2010 4:09 pm

Wed 18 Aug, 2010 4:41 pm
ok, I'll play - there's a robin hood connection.....

You can almost see the (very) old west coast road (donkey trail?) in this photo...
Thu 19 Aug, 2010 11:57 am
...Mt Gell is the prominent peak in the background...
