Juneau is correct, capital of Alaska. I had always thought it was Anchorage until we went there.

I have very few digital photos but here goes. Name of the lake or peak (both are the same).

Sassolungo (Langkofel)?

Yes John - It was a peak that grew on us as we were around it for a number of days. Quite a beast.

Thanks eggs, looks like you spent a lot of time in the Dolomites.
NZ, just name the lake:

- Lake Wakatipu, Otago New Zealand

This lake is far smaller than the last. On reflection, it has the same name as another nearby (also smaller) lake.

Hidden Lake on the Milford Track?

That's correct, and I actually confused myself into thinking it was Mirror Lake a couple of hours further up the track (so the previous clue makes no sense). All yours.

I got back from walking the Milford Track 2 weeks ago, so it was still fresh in the memory. Next is in Europe.

I don't know why I'm playing, so hard to find photos I haven't used already (often more than once

).
But are you on the ascent to Col de Riedmatten, Valais, Western Alps?

Well I’m glad you’re playing, because you got it right. This is next to the Pas de Chevres (french for “goats”) on the Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt.

Thank you Tyreless, I wondered what the goat reference was about.
This one might be hard but I'll give it a try. Back to NZ:
