Hmm - perhaps you should have made it easier by asking what mountains we were looking at in the distance

Yes, I am on Jagungal, that day the cloud level was just below the summit, the trig is very similar to the Townsend trig.

Your turn John

I first thought it was Townsend until I looked more closely. How many of that type of trig are there?

What is this location I am at in NSW?

Sorry for the delay, I've been in meetings all morning. Yes Michael, right idea but different location. It is part of the shale oil refinery ruins at Glen Davis in the Capertee Valley. We did this as a side trip on an overnight walk to Glen Davis from Newnes in the Wollemi NP (the other refinery ruins site). Your go Climberman...

I think we might need a clue to get this one moving. But I'll have a stab anyway to get the ball rolling. Is it Disaster Bay on the far south coast?

A clue or two might help, my thoughts are that it is somewhere on the far south coast maybe on the Nadgee coast.

john, no, not Disaster Bay.

Clue ? Well, it's in NSW. It's on the coast. I reckon any further clues would give it away at this stage.

Well done to isoma. I'm on the southern headland of Howe Beach, the most southerly beach in NSW on a beautiful November day. My wife is behind the camera lens. It is maybe 800m north of Conference Point itself (Wauka trig). Not far away is a very big midden, wafting in and out of the shifting sands. Judgung by the look of the materials in parts of it, it was in a long and continuous cycle for many thousands of years. I'd guess since the mid-Holocene sea level stabilisation. It reminds me athat the classics of property don't move much - close to all amenities, ocean views, northerly aspect.

Wonderful area. Well worth the walk as a classic Mallacoota-Nadgee three dayer. Would make for a classic long hard single dayer also, if that was the kind of thing that tickled your fancy.

Hi Isoma,

lake Wabby was the fifth image to come up when I searched Fraser Island in google images.

This next one is in NSW and should also be very easy. What are the name of the two peaks in the distance.

Hi Tony, Twynam and Little Twynam from the Kosciuszko road. One of the walks I did when last there was down past Blue Lake towards Headley Tarn, up the Crummer Spur shown on the right of Little Twynam, over LT and up onto Mt Twynam proper. Then went out to Watsons Crags Dome, and back to Charlotte Pass via the standard route.

Hi John,

I have just got back from my Sunday morning road bike ride, starting to get a bit cold here in Canberra 7C this morning.

Correct, I thought you would find this one easy.

Correct isoma, Mt Coolum it is. A short walk with a fairly steep climb to the top.
An old school mate who lives nearby took me up there when we visited last year.
Torrential rain hit us soon after this and during the descent. Your go...
