Super!
Over to you

Thanks Mic. Finally got there, and I thought it was going to be easy

. It had to be Muellers, Kosi (which was already eliminated) or Townsend (which is a rocky top). With some shots from up there, when you take a small section out of the landscape, several locations can look similar as they're more or less grassy knolls. I've walked over the top of Muellers Peak from the Main Range Track, sat on top of it and had lunch, then found the way off it down into Wilkinsons Valley looking for the pad out to Mt Townsend. I doubt I ever looked back over my shoulder at Muellers, with the pretty bauble of Townsend beckoning. I had also thought other possibilities were the nice valley where people often camp between Twynam and Watsons Crags, or below the long ridge heading up to Carruthers Peak from the Twynam/Blue Lake saddle. But I discounted the last one as you'd be in the catchment of Club Lake and no camping is allowed there.
A really easy one to encourage more new players to join in. Believe it or not I am actually on a bushwalk. Name either the walk or the track (they're similar).

Well I'm sure you wanted someone new but I mostly don't know these so I'll play. Your on the harbour to hawkesbury walk and you look like your on the section between clontarf and 40 baskets just before the trail bobs back down towards the water.

I think it's from Royal National Park. Is it taken from Marley Walk with Cronulla Beach in the foreground?
Thu 07 Apr, 2011 9:02 pm
Mind you I should also add I think your on the spit to manly costal walk to be more specific

And yes John it is such a magical spot down there. I have a beautiful shot of Townsend with the early morning sun hitting it.

Sorry Graham, not the Marley Walk or Royal NP. Good try, there are several spots in that park with views of the city skyline.
From memory near Bundeena you can see parts of Cronulla and the city.
Spit To Manly Walk it is Bluegum Mic. A nice stroll even though it is so close to civilisation.
Good coffee afterwards in Manly and a ferry ride back into town. Your turn.

Ok! This one should be easy whether you've been there or not

What track am I standing on (local name or large iconic track name is fine...or give me both) and what valley am I in.

Berowra Creek. Sydney
It's about 3.8km into the Hornsby to Galston Gorge hike of apx 8.2km. I believe this is part of the Berowra Valley Regional Park and part of the great north walk.
Fri 08 Apr, 2011 9:29 am
Tunks Creek in the Berowra Valley Regional Park??
Fri 08 Apr, 2011 11:48 am
Hmmmm. I'll give it Phil as he's the most correct. Yes it's the great north walk (or benowie track) and it's in the berowra valley. However mountain man was correct in that it's tunks creek. But seeing as Phil gave me the track and valley it's over to him. I'm very lucky to live on such a gorgeous valley with loads of places to explore

Thanks Bluegum Mic.
I'm going over the border to QLD with this location.

Hi Phillip, Just a thought. Is the file size within the forum limits? If possible it might be worth resizing it as small as practicable. I've been making them 1024x768 which seems to work OK.

Are you on the Border Track near Binna Burra in Lamington NP?
Fri 08 Apr, 2011 8:37 pm
No, you need to look further north.
Fri 08 Apr, 2011 8:49 pm
Could it be the Jindalba Boardwalk, Daintree National Park
Fri 08 Apr, 2011 9:36 pm
Maybe Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great walk @ Baroon Pocket Dam end or Fraser Is Great Walk somewhere around Central Station
Fri 08 Apr, 2011 10:07 pm
Mary Cairncross Park?

Melot has picked the location, it is indeed the Wangoolba Creek boardwalk at Central Station Fraser Island.
Over to you Melot

Thanks. Loved the Fraser Is Geat Walk in winter. Unfortunately I'm far too technically challenged to be able to post a new photo and am heading our for a days walk in a few minutes ... so can I leave it open for someone else to post the next photo and can I also ask for directions re putting up photos for the next time I guess correctly!
Sat 09 Apr, 2011 7:53 am
Hi Melot. It's certainly a good walk, should I say great walk at Fraser island, its my home, I live just across the water from Fraser Island, I'm heading back there next week, currently on holidays in Sydney, not long after heading back home I'm going to walk the great walk again.
I need practise myself, so if you don't mind I'll post one for you,
This one should be a easy one, it's near Sydney, a walk I completed a few days ago, can you name what walk it is and where I'm standing.

Hi Phillip, You are facing north at Otford Gap, at the very southern end of the Coast Track in Royal NP. You are probably standing at the fenced lookout area. The track is quite narrow here and a lot of tourists walk up to this point from the car park below. I'm just off to the Royal now myself to ride my MTB. If I'm correct anyone can post the next one.
Sat 09 Apr, 2011 9:14 am
Yes you are correct, Someone else's turn now.
Sat 09 Apr, 2011 10:30 am

I'll add another one, as I am usually unable to name any of the pictures posted in this competition..
