This one is my son's picture from Victoria. I don't have too much detail about the mountains you can see etc so just tell me the skiing area that he was visiting.

Boroka Lookout, looking over Halls Gap, in the Gramps?

This is a lot lower and closer in to Halls Gap than Boroka

Grampians, another one for the to do list. So many places, too little time...sigh.

Next one is in NSW and should be fairly easy. Name the walking track I'm on. Bonus point for the feature in the distance.

Walking Track: National Pass. Did this and the Nature Track a few weeks back

Yes, well done Michael, that was quick. I've walked all of the tracks around the Valley of the Waters many times over and it remains a favourite spot. For a more challenging walk I like going down past Vera Falls, Hippocrene Falls and following Jamison Creek back to eventually join Slacks Stairs, or one of the other options at the WF end.
Your turn.

Re: Game: Where-is-it (Aussie)

Thanks John. I've taken the same photo in virtually the same spot at least twice now.

National Pass is a great walk even though it kills my knees going down all those steps. I've been meaning to do the Vera/Hippocrene/Slacks loop for years, just never seem to get around to it.

OK, on with the game.

Location: NSW.
Name the place I am standing on.

Mine too

I'd say you're overlooking the Woronora River in Heathcote NP. I can see the Pipeline Trail running along the RHS.
As for where you're standing it's a bit of a guess. I know this view but don't have my own photos handy. Maybe the southern end of Scouters Mountain? Or is that Scouters on the left and you're somewhere along the Bullawarring Track?

Correct.

johnw wrote:...Or is that Scouters on the left...
Correct.

johnw wrote:...you're somewhere along the Bullawarring Track?
Not "on" the Bullawaring, but close.

Remember, I am after the location where the photo was taken from.

Ah, maybe on top of Battery Knob?

Re: Game: Where-is-it (Aussie)

Correct.

Nice little side excursion from the Bullawaring. Head up to the knob from the saddle on the south side.

Your turn.

I'll have to go up there next time I traverse the Bullawaring. Sounds much better than trying to negotiate the scrubfest of Scouters Mountain as we did several years ago.

We're about to bag this NSW peak approaching from the north. What is its name?
I'll give an early clue: It is not Mt Townsend or anywhere on the Abbott Ridge.

Excellent guess Michael, Mt Stillwell it is. A lesser known peak but a worthwhile short walk.
There's a bit of a pad out there from Charlotte Pass. Your go.

Thanks John. Noticed the Trigpoint on the top which cut the choices down a bit.

I am going to be out tonight and parts of tomorrow. Free turn to anyone who wants it.

Some clues: This location is on the fringe of the Southern Highlands SW of Sydney. The general area is popular for many activities including bushwalking, flat water kayaking/canoeing, MTB riding.
