As long as there isn't a total fire ban in place you are fine to have camp fires. As per any walk, just make sure you use existing fireplaces (or bury / scatter fire remains if there isn't one), don't create stone rings, avoid placing fires on bare rock, and don't burn rubbish (I'm sick of picking little bits of foil out of people's fires!). You will find plenty of firewood along the entire route.
That said, I still like to take a stove as well for walks. It is handy if you want to have a hot lunch / quick breakfast, and really comes into its own if you have a lot of rain. I'd much rather cook under my fly that having to light a fire in the rain!
