Centre of the Universe

Postby Brian Fox » Wed 16 Oct, 2013 7:23 pm

Centre of the Universe is the name given to a group of prominent
pagodas 3.2km south east of Goochs Crater. Marked on the topo map as
spot height 994. Known by this name by bushwalkers prior to 1990s. Wollangambe Topo Map, 481 926
Can anyone tell me who named, why and when. This place name is part of over 450 names to be compiled in the Gardens of Stone National Park and beyond series of books

My understanding is that SUBW named it because so many of their trips went past it at one stage.

Gee. Initially I thought the post was by Brian Cox. On tele the other night he pointed out that we are all at the centre of the universe as all matter/energy was at the centre of the big bang.
