Hi all,
We are planning a walk in the Jagungal Wilderness this weekend (6th and 7th October); Round Mountain to Jagungal and back.
Is there much snow around? Will we need snowshoes?
Cheers,
B

There is heaps of snow around! The main range is still completely covered. Not sure about the northern end of KNP but can only assume the higher elevations around Jagungal will also be pretty snow covered. It would be pretty tough going without snowshoes once the snowpack warmed up.
Here are some pics from today taken from the Charlotte Pass turning circle.

Thanks, PiniPowPow; that's just what we needed to see.
Cheers!

Hi The firzan,
I just got back from snow shoeing on the southern areas of the Main Range and there is a lot of snow still there, I second PiniPowpow advice, The snow could be soft around Mt Jaungal if it is warm.
