Is Upper Blue Mountains Geographical Encyclopaedia still in

Mon 22 Apr, 2013 11:42 am

Hi All, trying to get my hands on a copy of Upper Blue Mountains Geographical Encyclopaedia, does anyone know if it is still in print and if so, where I can buy a copy?

It says Upper mountains, where does it start from and go to?

Is there a lower mountains version as well?

Cheers

I tried finding this a while back and couldn't locate one to buy, but according to Trove, they are available in various libraries. I think this link will work ok:

You might try the author's website -

Use the contact page.

The Encyclopedia and its previous editions were written by Brian Fox. I contacted him last year hoping to acquire a copy. Apparently he doesn't have any to spare.
I eventually picked up a copy at a second hand bookshop in Katoomba, but it took a while to hunt down one.

Good luck with your search!

I am pretty sure it is in Katoomba Library (at least) in the reference section (for use in library only, can't be borrowed)

Hi All, yes, I have had an answer back from Brian this morning, there are no copies left in print apart from the ones he is keeping for his grand children.

Going to just keep my eyes open in the 2nd hand stores and ebay.

Or, try and convince him I am a long lost grandchild....
