Young bushwalkers in the Newcastle Region

Thu 18 Sep, 2014 6:53 am

Hi I recently moved to Newcastle and am i'm looking for a group of people aged between 25-40 to do some walks with in the Newcastle region.

Let me know if there is already a group in this age or if there are a few people keen then maybe we can form a group.

Cheers

I am in the Newcastle (actually Lake Macquarie) area and am in that age bracket (just). Don't do a heap of walks but try to get a couple a year in, especially a canyon or two (The uppuer Williams mainly). So if you have a walk you need people for, send me a PM

Hi Regnis,
There are several Bushwalking clubs in the Newcastle/Hunter Region. The age groups mostly appear older and when I first joined a club, I remember thinking the group were mostly older. After doing a few walks I found younger people were involved but also realised these older people taught me many skills and took me interesting and spectacular places I had never known existed.
Try a club, try not to consider the ages and enjoy the outdoors with like minded people.
Cheers, Col
