Hi guys,
I'm looking into doing some trekking over the xmas holidays (3 to 8 day treks). Any recommendations? I prefer the more quiet treks. I was thinking of the Alps, Nadgee wilderness walk or light to light, great ocean road (too hot?). I'm not a bit fan of heat but I have done the jatbula trail in NT, that was ok with lot's of swimming options.
I'm also considering flying to western australia (bibbulmun trail?) but just a road trip from Sydney would be cool too. I've already done the overland trek but maybe another one in tassie is also an option.
Trying to have a low budget exploring holiday between 19 dec and 4 jan.
Any ideas are welcome!
Passing a yoga retreat would be even more amazing!

One of the Queensland
Great Walks perhaps...
And NZ is no further away than Perth. Milford, Routeburn, Kepler, Hump Ridge, Heaphy to name just a few.

Get some good maps, drive into Round Mountain or Kiandra in the KNP, start walking and just make it up as you go along. You can follow tracks or pads or just go cross-country. Walk as far as you want.
You can do similar things in many areas, the Central Plateau/Walls in Tassie, for example.
