I am planning on an over night or 2 night walk in the Barringtons, at a very lesiurely pace. Definitely doing the Corker, Wombat creek for camp, maybe Careys Peak and a bit of a circuit. My question is sleeping bags. I have a -5 synthetic sleeping bag, thinking of getting a + 5 to save weight and be more comfortable in summer. I know it can snow at any time up in the barringtons, like the blue mountains. Has anybody experienced snow or real cold snaps up there in summer. For piece of mind should i just take the - 5 bag and a cotton liner or risk it and buy a plus 5
I do have thermals and a primaloft jacket, always take the jacket out even in summer.

We reckon a summer bag would be fine if you are taking the jacket. And if you are taking a tent.
