NSW & ACT specific bushwalking discussion.

Hi all
Given the multiple park closures at the moment due to fire, flood etc, just looking for some suggestions from the collective brains trust for a 1 day trail run/bush walk (happy to do trips that are considered big days or 2 days). Ideally within a couple of hours drive of either Sydney or Katoomba. I’ve done a fair bit in Kuringai, Brisbane waters, Bouddi, blueys, & Royal NP, (though there’s always more). Had thought about Wolgan Valley/Newnes, Bungonia, Kanangra Boyd, but all seem closed, in the blueys not too many longer walks seem open. Happy for some off-track sections or else a tracked the entire way.
Any thoughts?

you should be able to do the 6 foot track from explorers tree down to Cox's river and back from this coming weekend (at least according to last message on
http://sixfoottrackecolodge.com/ )

also as far as I can tell, the Victory Track (faulconbridge to springwood) is open, could be impacted by high water though. You can make a longer trip by extending to Blaxland

Thanks for the suggestions guys - I ended up back in Royal NP, but have added a few things to my list of ‘to do’s’ based on the above. Cheers
