Gday,
Im planning a (slow) walk with some newbies from Kanagra walls for a 4 day hike. We'd like to keep it under 12 or so km per day. I was thinking of coming out via Gingra Trail over all the "Tops" from the Kowmung. We would need to stop and camp around 2nd or 3rd top and I was wondering if anyone knew a good water source that didnt require a 100m climb! Also any recommendations for a good spot for a group of 4-6 people to camp would be welcomed.
Cheers

None at all I'm afraid after you leave the coal seam cave till you reach the river. I would allow 6 hours from the car.
You may want to take eith Roots or Hughs ridge for a quicker but steeper route to the river.

Thanks for that.
We are (were) going down via Roots up to Scotts MR and back via Gingra. I might reverse this now so that the long stretch is at least a downwards one!
Cheers.

How are you planning on coming back down from Scotts to the river? Via the road? The reason I ask is because there is a much nicer route down the Wide opening Spur.
