Hi All,
Myself and a couple of mates are hoping to start doing some hiking and I think some local hiking in the Pokolbin state forest is a good place to start.
I was thinking of following some firetrails / great north walk along the mountains from the Pokolbin end and head towards Millfield etc as a good starter hike over two days/one night.
Has anyone got any tips on trails etc to follow? would be nice to follow something a little more interesting than just formed roads.
Also I have seen some photos online of cave art etc (aboriginal art), I would love to check this out if possible but I am not sure where it is located.
Any help would be great.
Cheers, Pok

Many moons ago I walked with a mate from Millfield up Shingle Gully Rd then from memory along the GNR and came out at Bimbadeen lookout.... Could have made a few detours along the way, can't really remember, plus it's alot more developed out there now. But if you can make it to Bimbadeen from Pokolbin it's not a bad walk back to Millfield... There are some alternative tracks as apposed to the GNR but I'm freaked if I can remember how to get to them haha. If you check out Millfield on google Earth there's a photo just north of it called 'The top of Sotsog mountain'. If you can figure out how to get to there from Bimbadeen that's another way you can go lol
