mt dawson water source

Hi,

I'm planning a trip to mt dawson/red rocks and was wondering if there are any reliable water sources near mt dawon. From a topo map it looks like there could be some but a map is not enough to rely on. I would prefer not to carry extra water for the second day if possible. Anyone went there recently?
Also can anyone provide tip to locating "the room"? I suspect it is more towards Point Nicholson but I'm not sure.
