Snow on the Main range???

Postby Nic » Fri 30 May, 2014 10:24 pm

Hi guys,
Has anyone been up on the main range in the last week or so? Going up there next weekend for the long weekend and it does not seem like there is to much snow. We will be doing the usual circuit from Charlotte Pass, Mt Townsend and back.
Thanks for the help

There were a few tiny patches between Wilkinsons and Kozi last weekend. I mean tiny and next to track. I camped at Wilkinsons Saturday night and there was some light swirling snow about 400am but not enough to settle. None on the ground there. Will hopefully be up there again next weekend too.

Checkout Thredbo snow cams for an indication.

There was a little dusting on "the Basin" cam today. Not much though

Cheers,
Thats what I thought. You can see in the snow cams some snow in the backcountry, but its so hard to judge.
I'm very happy we have had such a warm autumn this year.
