New England or coastal north NSW has more daywalking opps?

As above. I'm finishing up a contract in QLD and slowly making my way back to Sydney. Which area would have more bushwalking opportunities, particularly walks that can be completed within a full day (or alternatively particularly nice stages of multi-day walks)? Thanks.

Thanks. I was leaning more towards the coast if only for the fact that I'll be travelling by public transport between areas (obviously would have to rent a car within an area to get to the bushwalking sites). I was only considering New England because the one time I drove through, the scenery really left an impression. Coastal NSW it is!
