Has anyone hiked to the top of Mount Scanzi, do you need permission from landowners?

I had a half baked attempt to do this myself a few years ago. From memory we drove to Bugong Gap where the maps seemed to indicate that you might be able to walk to the top via public land. However I could only find fully fenced off private property and abandoned the attempt. So I suspect you will need permission.

The satellite imagery on http://maps.six.nsw.gov.au/ also seems to indicate that you may have to walk through private property. As a thought you could try contacting Shoalhaven Bushwalkers club, who I think have visited all the trigs in the region. See this:

If you do it I'd be interested to know how it went. I may still return at some point.
