Fires in the Blue Gum forest?

Posted: Wed 14 Aug, 2013 10:15 pmOnce you get to Acacia Flat you will notice "Fuel Stove Only" signs, but you cannot help noticing also - fireplaces - with signs of recent use. And its not hard to see why bushwalkers camping there light fires. If you search online for information - e.g. -

They have no mention of it being "Fuel Stove Only". Once you get there, its a bit hard to walk back out and grab your stove and walk back in again.

Not any more, since approximately the 1990s.
The current "fossil fuel only" policy is not a good one in my opinion.
