A Couple of Short Terrey Hills Walks

Yesterday was such a beautiful morning I thought I would take a look at a couple of short tracks up at Terrey Hills. The first was Bibbenluke track. This drops steeply at first and then tapers off near the power lines. A bit further on the fire road stops and the foot track begins. This is a minor pad that drops down through rocks to the shore of Cowan Ck. There is a small sandy beach here but I couldn't say if it would be submerged at high tide? Nowhere really to camp. Pretty quiet spot just the same.
The 2nd was the Booralie Track. This led after a short distance to an old battered sign pointing right to Duffys Wharf and left to Slade Lkt. I went right and the track dropped steeply beside a small creek before stopping. From here it became a foot track but to my surprise instead of rough pad there was a beautifully made track complete with stone steps, wooden supports, drainage and curbing. This led down to the river where there was a stone step walkway around the edge to a point overlooking the bay. Presumably this is where the wharf was once?
On arriving back at the old sign I checked out Slade Lkt which gave excellent views of Bobbin Hd and the marina.
It never ceases to amaze me what can be found so close to Sydney.
