Bush fire damage, how extensive?

Postby kanangra » Sun 22 Dec, 2013 5:06 pm

I was thinking of heading up to the Wolgan Valley via the old railway line. I will head downstream and return via the Old Coach Rd and was wondering if that area was affected by the fires at all?

No. The fires didn't burn that far north. You will drive through fire damage if you come in from the Newnes Plateau (via Glowworm Tunnel Rd) but if you do the loop from Newnes you won't see any fire damage. The roads on the Newnes Plateau are all open now, and the loop you mention is all in an open area of park.
