day walk suggestions near Sydney other than Blue Mtns

Hi,
I'll be visiting Sydney this weekend. We're visiting the Blue Mountains Saturday/Sunday and will be staying in Coogee Sunday night.

I have Monday to myself and would like to do a good day walk. Preference for something hilly, 15-20km in all (could be two separate walks of shorter distances). I'll have a car but would prefer not to do battle with the traffic by driving across town, so south of Sydney would be ideal.

I see there's the Heathcote and Royal National Parks to the south with quite a few walks listed on wildwalks.com. Are they worth a visit, and are they hilly? Or are there other suggestions?

Thanks, Hamish.

Lots of choice down in the Royal National Park, including the Coastal Walk.

just came across this new post on the forum that might interest you...it sounds a long walk, and not on marked tracks, but looks pretty.

Manly to Taronga Zoo - along the north side of Sydney Harbour. A nice walk with great views and a fair bit of bush.

As Dave suggests Manly to Taronga is excellent. If you want something in the Royal then options might be start at Otford to Burning Palms and return via Garrawarra Farm, or Waterfall to Heathcote or Engadine via Uloola Falls. A longer walk (definitely over 20km) with unfortunately some road walking is Engadine to Audley to Winifred Falls to Deer Pool, Marley Beach and Bundeena.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did walk Manly to Taronga which was indeed excellent. I was a bit worried about the 8 hours suggested on wildwalks but fortunately it only took me 5 with few stops. Royal park next time...

Blue Mountains on the weekend was also excellent of course, notably Govett's Leap to Pulpit Rock.
