Hi All,
My mate and I recently completed the six foot track in 2 days and also the Kanangra Walls to Katoomba in 2.5 days. Loved both tracks.

I'm after another recommended weekend hike that's about 40 kms over a few days. Must be within 4 hrs drive of Sydney.

Will leave likely leave the Budawangs and Royal Nat Park for spring. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Prefer to try somewhere other than the Blue Mountains this time. :)

Thanks in advance to all

I was down at the Colo on the weekend. Starting to get a little chilly down there (and you will certainly be wading)! Though it's as shallow as I've seen it.

For multi day walks, your best bet is Kanangra. See this thread for general suggestions

There's not much other than the Greater Blue Mountains for longish walks within a few hours of Sydney! Budawangs (Morton) is pretty much it.

Could recommend an interesting 'figure 8' in the Nattai, which will bring you back to your starting point. Park at Wattle Ridge, take the Slotway down to the Nattai, walk downstream to Troys Creek then up to Nattai Rd, and down the switchback to a small stream which crosses the road and will give you an overnight campsite with fresh running water. Next day head down to the Nattai, then upstream to Starlight's and back to your car. A solid two day walk through a variety of great scenery. If you have a masochistic streak you could do Starlight's back to Mittagong along the Nattai instead.

There are may options on the k2k. Existing via six foof track is one. Uni rover trail and all the other kowmung options. At these low levels of water a kmart packraft would make any colo trip a hoot. About $60 would get you a boat and cheap paddle.
