I walked over Nungatta Plateau and down to Genoa River, quite a long time ago so I don't have any up to date info. We approached from the west, not the north. The ridge up Nungatta Mtn from the south I remember was easy going, but on higher sheltered parts of the plateau there is a lot of wire grass in the understorey in places. We got caught in a thunderstorm in the head of Neenah Gorge and with the bush saturated had to choose between following a narrow ridge or a narrow valley down to the river. We chose the valley. It was a great walk. Good luck.
