Packraft trip. Coxs May 12/13th

Hi Guys,
I'm planning to run the lower cox the weekend of May 12 and 13th.

I'm still ironing out the details of the route.

1. Start and finish and Carlon's (the David Noble trip pretty much)

2. The long version. Start at explorers tree and put in above botwells and take out at breakfast creek or Kelpie Point if the flow is good.
Then sunday would be a major (25k+) to get up to Narrow neck ( via Wild dogs or Carlon head) and a road bash to Katoomba.

Either trip has different options with car shuffles, but I'm planning a solo as per usual.

If anyone is interested send me a PM and we can work something out.
Cheers,
Nick

You may want to check the river level first. Too low - and its not worth rafting.

Thanks Dave,
I've been keeping on eye on it and it's currently at 0.24. I hoping for at least 0.35 and higher, all depending on rain though.

Nick, you may want to post over on the Packrafting forum, the group of packrafters that just did the SWR weekend at Thredbo are planning the same trip that weekend....I can't make it sadly but they are a great bunch of people. The trip organisation has been via email but if you post over there you'll end up in the loop.

Thanks Steve,
I've talked to Dale tonight, and it looks like the Colo is the go next weekend.
Cheers,
Nick
