A woman who was lost in the Snowy River National Park in north-east Victoria for four days has been found after she wrote "help" in the sand of a riverbank.
Lynette Joyce Bond, from Mornington, south-east of Melbourne, was spotted on the banks of the Snowy River before midday today.
She was winched to safety by the Victoria Police airwing.
The 68-year-old has been taken to hospital for a check up but is believed to be in good health.
Police found her four-wheel-drive vehicle on the Deddick Track yesterday with a note saying it had broken down on Wednesday.
Police, SES volunteers and volunteer bushwalkers helped search for the woman

Why did she leave the vehicle? Somewhere relatively remote especially, it's not a good idea to get far from the car.

Hope that a personal emergency beacon will be a birthday present for her 70th.
