Nearly ready for my first hike

Thu 14 Aug, 2014 9:59 pm

Hi guys, Anthony hear,
been slowly getting some gear together for over night hikes, not much left to get, I'll prob do a camp up at the parents farm to trial out the gear. Looking at doing a few prom hikes once it warms up a little, im a keen fisherman n hope to get a little bit of fishing down down the prom. a guy from vic kayak forum has hiked down here alot has done quite well fishing from refuge to sealers, so look forward to that, i also wanna do some camping out of my kayak, which the hiking gear will come in handy being compact and light weight.
I'm a gippsland boy, any other hikers in the area??

Careful regarding fishing at the prom, some people have died in the past from rogue waves on the rocks surrounding squeaky beach.
