Must have driven past this place 100 times but never visited it.
Took my son and his friends there last Saturday for an 18 km hike. Very surprised to find 60 kms from Melbourne delightful "medium" grade walking' amongst a variety of forests on largely on walking trails. The main trail is the Macedon Ranges Walking Trail (MRWT).
saw a few places to camp but uncertain if camping is permitted. Needed some hiking after doing lots of house renovating, it proved a good kind of work out.
