Looking for a few 8-13km day hikes near Melbourne, hopefully with some scrambling. I very much enjoyed cathedral north loop and I'm looking for something fun within an hour of Melbourne.

The Mount Macedon loop (about 18km) is a good day hike.
Start at the pub, climb up to the Cross then continue around the ridge line until you get back to the pub.
You’ll know you’re alive when you get to the Cross as it’s a bit of a lung-buster!

Plus one vote for Mt. Macedon. Include the Camel's hump in your route and hopefully you will get some views.
The Sugar loaf dam loop in the Xmas Hills is always a nice day out in spring or Autumn.
Mt. Donna Buang from the bottom in Warburton
The Loop through the Dandenongs starting at Upper Fern Tree Gully train station and ending at Belgrave Station.
The Walk along the Bass Coast near San Remo to Kilcunda and back. Take a head net for the flies which are impossibly bad.
It is cow/ horse country.
Plenty of walks in the Lake Mountain / Camberville area.

Cathredral Ranges
Bushranger's bay on the Monrington Peninsula
