Looking to do this walk in early May, able to do this at this time of year? Also whats the best map of the walk?

I did it in half a day - about three and a half hours, in fact - with a full pack. It's a good track with one or two short steepish sections, but mostly very easy walking. It's not very far, after all.
The only map I have that covers it is Rooftop's Yarra Ranges.

This reminds me of a few close friends with whom I walked this a couple of years ago. I find Spacial Vision VicMap and Juliet South topographical maps are also useful.

I did it years ago and found it a total slog. I'm fairly accustomed to climbing too but it has just sapping. Probably didn't help that I lost count of how many leaches I had to pull off.
